The stylish Omiebox is the first insulated bento box to reach the market. Allowing you to store food at 2 separate temperatures with the hot/cold insulated food jar and the sectioned lunchbox. The OmieBox Hot & Cold Bento Lunch Box V2 has some improved features: The thermos now stores 280mL of food, the insulation keeps food hot for up to 6 hours (dependent on the type of food) and the latches are even easier to open and close! OmieBox uses two types of insulation in order to store hot & cold food together. At the heart of the design is a powerful vacuum insulated thermos. It’s made of two walls of stainless steel with the air sucked out in between so heat can’t escape. It can keep food warm for up to 6 hours! For best results: If you are placing cold food in both the thermal jar and lunchbox it is recommended to store the lunchbox in an insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. If you are placing hot food in the thermal jar and room temperature items in the rest of the lunchbox it is recommended to store the lunchbox on its own, or in an insulated lunch bag WITHOUT an ice pack. If you are placing hot food in the thermal jar and cold food in the rest of the lunchbox it is recommended to remove the thermal jar from the lunchbox and keep it separate. Place the lunchbox only in an insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. If you put hot food in the thermal jar, then place the food jar in an insulated lunch bag with an ice pack it will cause the food to cool down faster than usual. Please note: the type of food packed in the insulated jar affects the time it will stay warm - food such as soups will stay warm longer than foods like chicken nuggets. The more air there is around the food, the faster it will cool down. The OmieBox is carefully designed so it’s easy, even for our youngest users. One key design feature is the oversized handle - it's easy to grab, perfect for young children who are still developing fine motor skills. Lids open and close easily, so your little ones can be independent at school. You never need to worry about lunches coming home uneaten because your little one couldn’t open the box. Unlike most food jars that are deep and narrow, the bowl is wide and shallow, so kids can easily scoop food out. Plus it’s easy to clean. For maximum performance, preheat or pre-chill the insulated container prior to use by filling with hot/cold water. Let stand for 5-10 minutes if using boiling water, empty and fill with your contents and place the lid straight back on. The insulated jar can hold liquids, the rectangular long and short compartments can hold wet foods but not watery liquids (such as salad dressing, watermelon, etc). The square compartment (that holds the insulated container) can only hold dry foods, if you wish to put liquids in the square section you will need to use the thermal jar, Omie Dip or a separate container. OmieBox uses two types of insulation - air insulation, vacuum insulation plus an airtight seal minimizes heat transfer to keep lunch fresh and yummy. Omiebox keeps food warm and cool in the same box; the larger vacuum insulated thermos can keep food warm for up to 6 hours, while neighbouring food is kept cool in the air insulated bento tray. The bowl is made of 2 layers of food grade stainless steel and vacuum insulated to deliver the most powerful insulation. Bowl section is removable. There's a special place for a name label so you always know which OmieBox is yours. Comes with 1x removable divider.
